Holy Family Convent Public School, Badiadka, marked a historic and grace-filled milestone with the celebration of its upgradation to Senior Secondary level along with the Annual Day titled “Magnova 2026” on 13th January 2026 at 4.30 p.m. in the school campus.
The solemn occasion was blessed and inaugurated by His Grace Mar Joseph Pamplani, Archbishop of Thalassery, who conferred blessings on the newly constructed building and elevator and consecrated the St. Mariam Thresia Centenary Grotto. The event symbolised a new chapter in the growth and academic vision of the institution.
The programme commenced with an invocation by a prayer dance , invoking divine grace upon the gathering. The Annual Report was presented by Mrs. Saritha, Academic Co-ordinator, highlighting the remarkable achievements, progress and future aspirations of the school.
Rev. Sr. Roslin Mathew CHF, Principal of Holy Family Convent Public School, delivered the welcome address and greeted the distinguished chief guest and other dignitaries. The ceremonial inauguration, including the unveiling of the inscription and traditional lamp lighting, was performed by His Grace Mar Joseph Pamplani, officially dedicating the Senior Secondary Wing to the community.
Rev. Sr. Valsa Therese CHF, Provincial Superior of CHF Marian Province, Palakkad, made the solemn declaration of the school’s upgradation to Senior Secondary and delivered the presidential address, inspiring the gathering with words of vision and commitment to holistic education.
A significant highlight of the day was the virtual dedication of the St. Mariam Thresia Centenary Memorial Library by Rev. Fr. Chacko Kudiparambil, Vicar of St. Mary’s Church, Badiadka. This was followed by the release of the school magazine by Sri. D. Shankara, President of Badiadka Grama Panchayath.
Academic excellence was honoured through the recognition of school toppers by Sri. Justin Antony, Secretary of Kasaragod Sahodaya and Principal of Myma English Medium School, Padanna.
Felicitations were offered by Rev. Fr. Jose Chempottikal (Director, Navajeevana Special School, Perla), Sri. Mahin Kelot (PTA President & Ward Member), Sri. Hameed Kedenji (Ward Member) and Smt. Honey Subin (MPTA President), and Sri.Avinash, health and education standing committee member, who appreciated the institution’s journey and its contribution to society.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Smt. Sushitha Reshma Lobo, Staff Secretary, acknowledging the efforts of all who made the celebration a grand success.
The formal function was followed by a vibrant cultural showcase by the students, reflecting talent, creativity and the spirit of unity that defines the Holy Family community.
“Magnova 2026” stood as a memorable testament to the school’s steady progress, academic excellence and unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds under the guidance of faith, values and knowledge.
