Badiadka, June 05, 2025. Students and staff of Holy Family Convent Public school Badiadka celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm, highlighting the importance of environmental conservation through a series of engaging and meaningful activities.

The day began with a tree plantation drive, where 42 students, 5 teachers, and 4 parents actively participated. Organized by students of Classes 9 and 10, the drive included the planting of various species such as mango trees, medicinal plants, flowering plants, javitri (mace) plants, and ornamental plants. Participants also watered and nourished the saplings, reinforcing their commitment to nurturing nature.

Other events included a plant exchange program and a poster-making competition, where students showcased their creativity and awareness of environmental issues. During the morning assembly, a category-wise quiz on environmental topics was conducted, followed by inspirational speeches delivered by students, emphasizing the urgent need to protect our planet.

To conclude the celebration, the principal, teachers, and students collaborated to tag the plants across the school campus with their common and botanical names, encouraging familiarity with local plant biodiversity.

The celebration served as a powerful reminder of our shared responsibility to care for the environment and foster a sustainable future.
