About Us

It is god’s plan to have a seed of Holy Family congregation in Badiadka soil to spread the charism of our founderous Bl. Mariam Thresia. Rev. Fr. Biju Nooramakkal the vicar of St.Mary’s Church Badiadka was the human element behind the screen. He had a dream to start a convent school near by the Parish, and then purchased 6 Acres of land on 25^th April 2004. Understanding the demand of locality and the thirst of the public, provincial Sr.Prasanna Thattil and council decided to start an English medium school with CBSE syllabus. On 3^rd June 2006 started convent. The construction of the school building was started on 24^th June 2007 with a feeble strength of 30 students in LKG, UKG, and standard I. The new school building was blessed by Mar George Valiamattam Archbishop of Thalassery on 22^nd January 2008.

            God Almighty chose blessed Mariam Thresia to be his humble instrument to found the congregation of the Holy Family in order to build up the families in love and peace. Blessed Mariam Thressia was born on 26^th April 1876 as the daughter of Thoma and  Thanda Chiramel Mankudayan in the village of Puthenchira, Thrissur district Kerala.

            By the grace of god and through the holiness and humility of blessed Mariam Thressia the congregation flourished and divided into twelve provinces. At present the congregation has 210 Houses( convents),10 colleges,110 schools,3 hospitals,6 home for the aged,2 schools for the differently abled children and 1 family Apostolate Training and Research Institute.

            Mother Mariam Thresia considered education as the most urgent need of the families and tried her best to establish schools in the villages and towns where the community had a convent.
